Stretch marks are indented streaks that can be formed on different parts of the body. Stretch marks appear on areas of the body that store fat, such as the stomach, arms, thighs, butt, breasts, and hips.
WHAT CAUSES STRETCH MARKS?
Stretch marks are caused by the stretching of the skin. Our bodies produce collagen (a protein that makes your skin elastic) and when the body doesn’t produce enough collagen, it can affect your skin. For example, if a woman is pregnant, her body might not be able to produce enough collagen to keep her skin from stretching and forming stretch marks.
With that said, there are many reasons why people get stretch marks. You can get stretch marks due to any of the following reasons:
