The Five Different Skin Types!

Skin Types By Vip Laser In Miami, FL

There are five basic skin types. There are people with normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, and sensitive skin. Sometimes it can be hard to tell which skin type is yours.

NORMAL SKIN

Normal skin is well balanced and is also called endermic. Normal skin is neither too oily nor dry. In fact, it has the perfect amount of moisture!

This means that the skin has a normal pH level! To keep your skin at its proper pH levels, you should stay hydrated, moisturize, and always wear sunscreen!

OILY SKIN

Oily skin appears very greasy, and it is also more prone to acne breakouts.

If you’re someone that suffers from oily skin, it is because you have a higher pH level! If you have oily skin, we recommend staying hydrated, moisturized, wearing sunscreen, and washing your face twice a day!

DRY SKIN

Dry skin appears to be very tight, flaky, and rough. This is due to a lack of moisture!

If you have dry skin, it is because your pH levels are lower than they should be. A tip for dry skin types is finding products with higher pH levels! We also recommend moisturizing regularly, staying hydrated, using sunscreen, and patting your skin dry when you’re done showering!

COMBINATION SKIN

Combination skin is a combination of both oily and dry skin types. You can identify if you have combination skin by checking your t-zone and your cheeks. Most have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks.

If you have combination skin, we recommend using a gentle cleanser that you exfoliate every once in a while and wear your sunscreen!

SENSITIVE SKIN

Sensitive skin is more prone to react to products harshly. If you often get red when trying new products or generally red, you might have sensitive skin.

Allergies also play a part in sensitive skin. Maybe there’s a certain ingredient that you’re allergic to that is causing your skin to flare up. We recommend that you do a patch test on your hand when trying a new product. See how your skin reacts to it first!
