As we age, our body ages with us. Unfortunately, unwanted fat may accumulate in areas such as the abdomen, back, and thighs. In addition, as we age we lose volume in areas such as the face, lips, breasts, and buttocks. Thanks to the advancement of technology, there are now ways to remove unwanted fat and transfer it to places where volume is desired.
BeautiFill is the most advanced laser technology for liposuction and fat transfer. BeautiFill uses the laser to gently remove fat cells from the areas that you no longer want it in. The fat that is removed can then be transferred to an area of your body where more volume is desired.
HOW DOES BEAUTIFILL WORK?
Beautifill is a minimally invasive procedure that uses local anesthesia. It uses laser technology to remove live viable fat that can then be reinjected into the areas where volume is needed.
During the procedure, the laser removes the unwanted fat and places it into a compartment where the fat is kept. The fat is then reinjected into the area that you desire.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE.
When you first arrive for your BeautiFill procedure, your doctor will mark the areas where fat will be removed and where fat will be transferred. This is done in order to guide the doctor during the treatment. Once the surgeon is ready, you will be injected with local anesthesia in order to numb the areas where fat will be removed and restored. The anesthesia not only numbs the area, but it also minimizes bleeding and makes it easier for the fat to be removed.
Once the areas are fully numbed, the doctor will begin by making a small incision on the area where the fat will be removed. Next, the doctor will take the cannula and input it into the incision made. The cannula on the BeautiFill machine has a laser that glows bright red. The laser will help guide the doctor and it will help tighten your skin. Once all of the unwanted fat is removed, another cannula will be used to reinject the healthy fat into the area where volume is desired.
The procedure should take a total of one – four hours. For more information on the details of the procedure and what to expect after it’s completed, call us at 305-239-9222.
